Choosing specialisms

Choosing a specialism may seem like a daunting task but there are a number of stages to help you decide.

Stage 1 - Get a better understandin of the service area

Firstly, having a good appreciation of the type and nature of work carried out in our various service areas will help you narrow down your initial selection. Have a look at Semple Fraser's business structure for more information.

Stage 2 - create a shortlist

Secondly, reflect on those areas of the law you find most interesting and rewarding in your studies.

Stage 3 - Speak with those who've been fixed seat trainees

Attending our stand at one of the law fairs is a great way to discuss our fixed seat approach with a current trainee.

If you still need some further information to help you in your decision then email your specific questions to recruitment@semplefraser.co.uk.
